This gathering is an opportunity to be in mindful community with others and connect more deeply with the Great Spirit uniting us all, through the practices of drumming, dance, and silent meditation. The first hour is spent as a drum circle... drumming, dancing, and/or just sitting and listening for those that prefer. A class for beginners that will be learning specific ensemble pieces using drums, bells and shakers and also xylophones. The curriculum is called World Music Drumming. It draws on traditional rhythms from West Africa and Afro-Latin America as well as other cultures. It is a great place for adults and children (age 9 and older) to make music as equals. Of course, you don't have to be a family member to join.

Meet with acoustic musicians of all instruments (and singers) who love to play music, talk music, and meet other musicians. In addition to group meetings, members can form jam sessions with musicians of similar tastes...Anyone with a passion for acoustic music in one form or another is welcome to join and make a contribution. Name your instrument and genre when you sign up.
